Dewan Housing Finance Corporation has raised a little over Rs 300 crore through placement of shares to Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs). The company has allotted 1.19 crore equity shares to QIBs at Rs 255.50 per scrip, a premium of Rs 245.50, aggregating Rs 304.29 crore.
Consequent to the issue and allotment of the equity shares to the QIBs, the paid-up capital of the company increased from the present Rs 104.93 crore to Rs 116.83 crore.
The company posted a net profit of Rs 74.97 crore for the quarter ended December 2011, up 21.39% from Rs 61.76 crore in the corresponding year-ago period. Its total income increased by 71.09% to Rs 661.88 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 386.85 crore for the similar quarter of the previous year.
