Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals (GSFC) has commissioned a fully drawn yarn (FDY) plant at Kosamba in Surat. The new FDY plant has an annual production capacity of 2,625 tonnes , which would increase the company's turnover by Rs 70 crore. Under the present competitive market of Nylon Filament Yarn, GSFC will achieve new milestones with the production of newly installed FDY plant.
Further, the company is planning to make fibre unit more profit making division. For this, the company has decided to set up a new partially oriented yarn (POY) line with advance technology for the production of Gujnyl, GSFC's Nylon filament yarn brand, so that production capacity and turnover of the same can be increased. The company is also decided to install high speed spinning chips plant of 30,000 MTPA capacity at Kosamba. Through these developments, the company is aiming to generate Rs 1000 crore in turnover of fibre unit.
