Genesis Asset Managers LLP has sold 2.01% stake in Ambuja Cement by selling 30.7 million shares for over Rs 646 crore in open market. Earlier, Genesis Asset Managers LLP had 5.39% stake in the company and brought down its shareholding in the company to 3.38% by selling these shares.
Ambuja Cement is a part of a global conglomerate Holcim. The company has five integrated cement manufacturing plants and eight cement grinding units across the country.
