Physical rubber prices improved on Tuesday on account of covering purchases at lower levels followed by the sustained gains on the NMCE. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety surged to Rs 111.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 111/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety jumped to 107/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 106/kg.
In the futures market, contract of September delivery improved to Rs 113.60 compared to its previous closing of Rs 112.86, while October delivery closed at Rs 113.51 compared to its previous close of Rs 112.31 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE)
