The promoters holding in the company stood at 80.00% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 16.55% and 3.45% respectively.
The state-owned Iron ore mining major NMDC had produced 10.52 million tonnes (mt) of iron ore during August 2015 in Chhattisgarh and Karantaka and registered sales of 11.27 mt. The company stated that the production in Chhattisgarh was 5.91 mt and Karnataka 4.61 mt, respectively. The sales volume was, however, higher from both the States with Chhattisgarh logging sales of 6.22 mt and Karnataka 5.05 mt.
NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
