Tata Steel has started production from its coke oven unit at Kalinga Nagar plant. The company has targeted to commission integrated steel production by December 2015 from Kalinga Nagar facility. The company is setting up a 6 million tonne greenfield steel project at Kalinga Nagar in Jajpur district of Odisha with the first phase comprising 3 million tonne steel capacity. The company has already invested around Rs 22,000 crore till date out of Rs 25,164 crore estimated first phase cost.
