Nifty October futures saw addition of 3.85 million (mn) units, taking the total outstanding open interest (OI) to 18.36 million (mn) units. The near month derivatives contract will expire on October 29, 2015.
From the most active contracts, ICICI Bank October 2015 futures traded at premium of 1.80 points at 269.90 compared with spot closing of 268.10. The number of contracts traded were 29,499.
Tata Motors October 2015 futures traded at a premium of 2.60 points at 305.05 compared with spot closing of 302.45. The number of contracts traded were 38,310.
Reliance October 2015 futures traded at a premium of 6.90 points at 843.55 compared with spot closing of 836.65. The number of contracts traded were 53,808.
HDFC Bank October 2015 futures traded at a premium of 7.90 points at 1057.00 compared with spot closing of 1,049.10. The number of contracts traded were 32,333.
L&T October 2015 futures traded at a premium of 9.70 points at 1472.70 compared with spot closing of 1,463.00. The number of contracts traded were 34,982.
