India's Soybean output may reach 11 million tonnes in 2015-16: IGC

India is expected to produce more soybeans versus last year, as per data compiled by the International Grains Council (IGC). Last year the country produced 10.5 million tonnes while current year production is estimated at 11 million tonnes.

Total grain production in India during 2015-16 season is estimated at 130.5 million tonnes, down from 137.8 million tonnes recorded for the 2014-15 season. Total world grain production in 2015-16 is estimated at 1.99 billion tonnes, about 1% lower than last season’s record.
