Crompton Greaves is currently trading at Rs. 176.00, up by 1.80 points or 1.03% from its previous closing of Rs. 174.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 174.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 177.45 and Rs. 173.70 respectively. So far 139640 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 210.95 on 09-Oct-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 152.85 on 08-Sep-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 178.25 and Rs. 163.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 10968.06 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.38% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 46.92% and 18.55% respectively.

Avantha Group Company Crompton Greaves (CG) has bagged an order from PT PLN for manufacture and supply of power transformers, valued at USD 62 million (approx Rs 410 crore). The scope of work includes design, manufacture, supply, construction and installation of these power transformers in the range of 30MVA to 268MVA. They will be installed in Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan and Makassar islands of Indonesia. The project is aimed at enhancing the performance of PT PLN's transmission grid.

The contract was secured through a highly competitive open book bid. CG was selected for this prestigious project due to its successful track record in Indonesia, backed by a global recognition of its technical expertise in manufacturing and supplying high-voltage transformers at the best quality to price ratio. This order also reinforces the existing strong relationship between CG and PT PLN. By way of these prestigious orders, CG has consistently built its reputation as a top quality provider of turnkey products and solutions in the Indonesian market, with approx USD 93 million worth of orders already booked in the first half of the current year.

Power Transformers are very critical equipment for PT PLN considering the present power situation in Indonesia.
