Welspun India’s arm commissions 32 MW solar power project in Bathinda

Welspun India’s arm - Welspun Renewables has commissioned its 32 MW solar power project in Bathinda. The project, spread across 140 acre in Bathinda district, is Punjab's largest solar photo-voltaic power plant.

Moreover, the project has been commissioned ahead of committed time-line and will annually be feeding 48 million units of clean and emission-free energy into the Punjab state grid for the next 25 years. It is estimated that around 1,331,525 tonnes of CO2 emissions will be mitigated within next 25 years by the power plant.

Welspun India is one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of bed & bath textile products globally. The company’s portfolio comprises wide range of home textile products such as terry towels, bed linen (basic bedding and decorative bedding) rugs and bathrobes.
