Container Corporation of India rises on reporting 21% rise in Q2 net profit

Container Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 1475.00, up by 5.40 points or 0.37% from its previous closing of Rs. 1469.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1500.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1500.00 and Rs. 1465.50 respectively. So far 2076 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1944.00 on 01-Jun-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1204.40 on 17-Dec-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1517.80 and Rs. 1439.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 28784.04 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.79 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 34.53 % and 3.68 % respectively.

Container Corporation of India (CCI) has posted a rise of 21.38% in its net profit at Rs 232.91 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 191.88 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 9.74% at Rs 1587.74 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1446.83 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2014.

Container Corporation of India was established in 1988 and works mainly in three verticals -- cargo terminal, terminal operator and warehouse operator.
