TECIL Chemicals & Hydro Powers gets approval to dispose of company's assets

TECIL Chemicals & Hydro Powers has received an approval to sell and / or dispose off unusable and / or uneconomical and / or unserviceable plant and machinery at Chingavanam which have became obsolete and outdated and have outlived their economical life. The company has received an approval at its board meeting held on July 04, 2011.

The board decision was taken pursuant to the resolution passed by the shareholders through postal ballot u/s 293 (1) (a) of the companies act, 1956 on March 15, 2005.

TECIL Chemicals and Hydro Power was incorporated with the object of manufacturing Graphite products & Calcium Carbide in the erstwhile State of Travancore, now merged into Kerala. It is the largest merchant manufacturer of Calcium Carbide & Acetylene Black & the only manufacturer of Desulphurisation Compound in the country.
