04 Dec 2015 Evaluate

Persistent Systems has been recognized at the prestigious Aegis Graham Bell Award 2015 for innovation in location-based services (LBS) for its E100 solution. The company’s E100 is a location-based Emergency Response System that can quickly determine the location of a distressed mobile caller to enable responding agencies to provide timely and efficient assistance.

The solution includes a computer-aided dispatch system that enables the authorities to set up cost effective control rooms within a matter of few hours. Addressing the public safety requirements of India, the solution works on all phones without the need for a mobile application, GPS, or data connectivity, thereby bringing in a social impact to the entire population of India.

A limited feature version of this solution was successfully deployed at the recently held Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2015 at Trimbakeshwar. The solution complemented the efforts of the Police authorities to ensure a well-planned and successful Kumbh Mela.

Persistent Systems is a global company specializing in software product and technology services. Persistent develops best-in-class solutions in key next-generation technology areas including Analytics, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Mobility and Social, for the telecommunications, life sciences, healthcare, and banking & financial services verticals.
