Chennai Petroleum Corporation has informed that due to heavy rains and water logging in the Refinery premises, as a precautionary safety measure, the Manali Refinery of CPCL was shutdown effective December 02, 2015 (night), and the Cauvery Basin Refinery at Nagapattinam was shutdown effective December 06, 2015 (night). The above information could not be communicated to the Stock Exchanges earlier due to non-availability of communication system and water logging in the office and the abnormal situation arising out of natural calamity. The Company will keep the Exchange as and when the Refinery Operations (Manali and CBR) are resumed.
