Ramco Cements to upgrade capacity at Jayanthipuram unit

Ramco Cements is upgrading its capacity at Jayanthipuram unit. In this regard, the company has awarded Rs 22.50 crore contract to Petron Engineering and Construction.

Petron Engineering has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Ramco Cements for civil and mechanical works for capacity up gradation of Line-1 cement plant and captive power plant at Jayanthipuram.

The Ramco Cements (Formerly Madras Cements) is a cement manufacturing company in India and also one of the leading business group in India. The main product of the company is Portland cement, manufactured in eight state-of-the art production facilities that includes Integrated Cement plants and Grinding units with a current total production capacity of 16.45 MTPA (out of which Satellite Grinding units capacity alone is 4 MTPA).
