Godawari Power trades in fine fettle on BSE

Godawari Power & Ispat is currently trading at Rs. 69.20, up by 5.35 points or 8.38% from its previous closing of Rs. 63.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 65.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 69.75 and Rs. 65.00 respectively. So far 4744 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 149.00 on 23-Feb-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 62.20 on 07-Sep-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 69.50 and Rs. 63.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 226.84 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 64.89% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 6.37% and 28.74% respectively.

Visa Capital Partners has bought 3.49 lakh shares of Godawari Power & Ispat through the open market route. The shares were purchased on an average price of Rs 64 valuing the transaction to Rs 2.23 crore.

Godawari Power & Ispat is engaged in the production of sponge iron, steel billets, ferro alloys, HB wires, oxygen, fly ash bricks and is also in the power business. GPIL is a flagship company of Raipur-based Hira Group of Industries, which is an integrated steel manufacturer and is having dominant presence in the long product segment of the steel industry; mainly into mild steel wire.
