BPCL commissions new crude distillation unit in Chembur: Report

BPCL has reportedly commissioned a new crude distillation unit at its refinery in Chembur in Mumbai. The CDU is estimated to cost Rs 1,419 crore, and is expected to save Rs 128 crore annually on fuel consumption.

The new unit will help in the dismantling of two older units that were set up in 1955, which will create space for refinery modernisation.

BPCL is into exploration, production and retailing of petroleum and petrol related products. The retail business unit of BPCL is into marketing of petrol, diesel and kerosene.
