Bharti Airtel rises on acquiring remaining 26% stake in Augere

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 337.00, up by 3.75 points or 1.13% from its previous closing of Rs. 333.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 333.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 337.95 and Rs. 332.60 respectively. So far 33965 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 452.45 on 21-Jul-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 304.65 on 14-Dec-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 339.60 and Rs. 330.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 134792.33 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.45% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.60% and 8.95% respectively.

Bharti Airtel has acquired the remaining balance paid up share capital i.e. 26 percent of Augere and with the said acquisition, Augere has become a wholly owned subsidiary of the company. Earlier, the company had acquired 74% capital of Augere Wireless Broadband India. This is in line with the country’s largest telecom provider’s earlier announcement to acquire Augere that will allow Airtel take its 4G operations to nine circles.
