Coal India reports 52.07 million tonnes of production in December 2015

Coal India, the world’s largest coal miner by output, has reported provisional production of 52.07 million tonnes in December 2015, as against target of 51.08 million tonnes. The company’s total off-take for the month of December stood at 48.16 million tonnes as against a target of 49.46 million tonnes.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
