Physical rubber prices showed weakness on Monday following the sharp declines in the domestic and global trendsetters. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety dropped to Rs 102/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 103/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety dipped to Rs 99.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 100.50/ kg.
In the futures market, contract of January delivery surrendered to Rs 102 compared to its previous closing of Rs 104.13, while February delivery closed at Rs 103.47 compared to its previous close of Rs 106.20 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
