NMDC has reported 20.08 million tonnes (MT) of iron ore production and logged sales volume of 20.32 MT up to December 2015. The iron ore major stated that the company’s Chhattisgarh mines produced 11.59 MT and registered sales volume of 11.53 MT while Karnataka mines produced 8.49 MT and sold 8.79 MT up to December 2015.
NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
