Sagar Cements gains despite reporting 18% drop in December production

Sagar Cements is currently trading at Rs. 452.00, up by 5.00 points or 1.12% from its previous closing of Rs. 447.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 447.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 459.00 and Rs 440.00 respectively.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 498.00 on 30-Jul-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 275.00 on 27-Mar-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 475.00 and Rs 435.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 776.90 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.93% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 8.61% and 34.46% respectively.

Sagar Cements has reported the cement production and sales figures for December 2015. The Cement production for December 2015 stood at 106,775 million tonnes (MT), a drop of 18%, compared to 129,805 MT produced in December 2014. The Cement sales for December 2015 stood at 104,373 MT, a drop of 20%, compared to 130,452 MT in December 2014.

Sagar Cements is one of the most modern mini cement plants in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The plant is based on Dry Process Rotary Kiln Technology that is used in ‘Standard Quality' cement companies.
