Physical rubber prices showed weakness on Tuesday due to lack of quantity buyers in the local markets. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety dropped to Rs 98/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 98.50/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety dipped to Rs 93/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 95/ kg.
In the futures market, contract of January delivery improved to Rs 98.78 compared to its previous closing of Rs 97.39, while February delivery closed at Rs 99.12 compared to its previous close of Rs 98.08 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
