Emami trades with traction on the BSE

Emami is currently trading at Rs. 998.75, up by 10.15 points or 1.03% from its previous closing of Rs. 988.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 980.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1002.00 and Rs. 973.95 respectively. So far 3368 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1367.90 on 05-Aug-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 842.00 on 14-Jan-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1002.00 and Rs. 945.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 22696.76 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.74% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.64% and 9.62% respectively.

Emami has entered into the packaged honey category under its Zandu brand. The homegrown consumer goods firm has positioned Zandu honey on quality and claims its product has zero sugar. The Emami’s Zandu honey has been priced at a 35% premium over Dabur.

Emami manufactures products under various categories namely Hair Care, Skin Creams and Lotions, Talcum Powder and ayurvedic health care products. Emami’s Boroplus portfolio is worth Rs 400 crore, comprising of three brands -- BoroPlus Antiseptic Cream, Boroplus Advanced Moisturizing Lotion and BoroPlus Prickly Heat Powder.
