MTNL gains on adding 5,194 subscribers in December

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam is currently trading at Rs 18.00, up by 0.10 points or 0.56% from its previous closing of Rs 17.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 18.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 18.40 and Rs 17.70 respectively. So far 79209 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 30.85 on 20-Feb-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs 14.45 on 25-Aug-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 22.65 and Rs 17.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 1137.15 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.25% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 22.08% and 20.18% respectively.

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL), the state owned telecom firm which operates in Delhi and Mumbai, has added 5,194 mobile subscribers in December, 2015. Following the addition, the company’s total subscriber count stood at 35.27 lakh with a market share of 0.47%.

MTNL was set up by the Government of India to upgrade the quality of telecom services, expand the telecom network, and introduce new services and to raise revenue for telecom development needs of India's key metros -- Delhi and Mumbai.
