Edelweiss Financial Services gains on reporting 28% rise in Q3 consolidated net profit

Edelweiss Financial Services is currently trading at Rs 50.60, up by 0.35 points or 0.70% from its previous closing of Rs 50.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 51.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs 51.50 and Rs 50.55 respectively. So far 5543 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 82.25 on 27-Jan-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs 49.55 on 18-Jan-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 55.95 and Rs 49.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 4153.53 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 37.89% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 19.53% and 42.58% respectively.

Edelweiss Financial Services has reported 52.61% rise in its net profit at Rs 52.85 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 34.63 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income has increased by 38.96% to Rs 107.72 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 77.52 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 27.52% rise in its net profit after tax and minority interest nd Share of Profit of Associates of Rs 105.66 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 82.86 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 39.87% at Rs 1343.26 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 960.39 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2014.
