Idea Cellular gains on plan to extend 4G service to 750 cities by June

Idea Cellular is currently trading at Rs 107.10, up by 0.25 points or 0.23% from its previous closing of Rs. 106.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 107.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 108.85 and Rs. 104.75 respectively. So far 192545 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 203.90 on 17-Apr-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 105.60 on 22-Jan-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 119.95 and Rs. 104.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 38506.46 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 42.25% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.18% and 28.58% respectively.

Idea Cellular, one of the biggest cellular carrier of the country, is planning to launch 4G LTE network in 750 towns under 10 circles by June 2016. Since December 2015, the company has rapidly rolled out its high-speed 4G LTE network to cover seven major markets in India. By March 2016, the company’s services will extend to three more key markets namely, Maharashtra, Goa and Odisha.

Idea Cellular, an AV Birla group company, provides Global System for Mobile communications (GSM)-based wireless service at the pan-India level, it is present in all 22 telecom circles.
