HT Media strengthens on receiving nod to divest its entire stake in Ivy Talent India

HT Media is currently trading at Rs. 79.25, up by 2.05 points or 2.66% from its previous closing of Rs. 77.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 78.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 80.80 and Rs. 77.75 respectively. So far 60,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 145.00 on 20-Feb-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 73.00 on 08-Sep-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 84.55 and Rs. 76.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1,844.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 69.51% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 22.08% and 8.41% respectively.

HT Media has received an approval to dispose of its entire shareholding in Ivy Talent India, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company. The board of directors at its meeting held on January 27, 2016 has approved for the same. The proposed sale consideration is Rs 27 lakh.

HT Media is one of India’s foremost media companies, and home to three leading newspapers in the country in the English, Hindi and Business news segments - ‘Hindustan Times’ (English daily), ‘Hindustan’ (Hindi daily, through a subsidiary) and ‘Mint’ (business daily).
