Chambal Fertilisers rises on its step-down arm's decision to sell its business

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals is currently trading at Rs. 57.35, up by 0.60 points or 1.06% from its previous closing of Rs. 56.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 57.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 57.80 and Rs. 56.85 respectively. So far 21580 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 77.00 on 08-Apr-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 53.10 on 21-Jan-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 57.80 and Rs. 54.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2386.95 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.78% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 19.77% and 23.46% respectively.

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals - subsidiary company - CFCL Technologies’ arm have entered into agreements for sale of some of its business. ISGN Corporation, USA has entered into a stock purchase agreement to sell and transfer its entire shareholding in its wholly owned subsidiary - ISGN Solutions Inc., USA to Firstsource Group USA, Inc.

Further, ISG Novasoft Technologies has entered into a slump sale agreement to sell and dispose-off part of its business / undertaking i.e. Business Process Outsourcing business to Firstsource Process Management Services, India as a going concern on slump sale basis.

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals is one of the largest private sector fertilizer producers in India. It has three divisions catering agri products, shipping & textiles.
