Century Plyboards gains on reporting marginal gains in Q3 net profit

Century Plyboards (India) is currently trading at Rs. 152.45, up by 0.30 points or 0.20% from its previous closing of Rs. 152.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 152.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 154.00 and Rs. 150.00 respectively. So far 7,550 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 261.75 on 02-Mar-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 137.75 on 04-Sep-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 166.20 and Rs. 150.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3,395.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 73.34% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 13.98% and 12.68% respectively.

The company has reported 0.56% rise in its net profit at Rs 41.60 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 41.37 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s income from operations has increased marginally by 1.24% to Rs 390.61 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 385.83 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Century Plyboards is largest seller of plywood and decorative veneers in the Indian organized plywood market. The manufacturing facility of company is located at Bishnupur near Joka, Kolkata.
