The Municipal Corporation Doctor's Association moved an application in the Delhi High Court seeking their services to be transferred from MCD to the Delhi Government. Amid prevailing chaos in the national capital due to the strike by MCD employees, Municipal Corporation Doctor's Association wrote a letter to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal asking state and Centre to bailout MCD from financial crunch.

The municipal employees have been protesting against the non-payment of salaries since last Wednesday, leading to a complete standstill of municipal services including sanitation, primary health and primary education. The strike snowballed into a crisis when MCD school teachers also joined the agitation from Monday. On Sunday, Delhi Ministers, AAP MLAs and hundreds of party workers hit the streets to clear overflowing garbage dumps.
