Pfizer surges on reporting over two fold jump in Q3 net profit

Pfizer is currently trading at Rs 2271.50, up by 42.80 points or 1.92% from its previous closing of Rs 2228.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2306.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2350.00 and Rs. 2267.55 respectively. So far 2204 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2724.00 on 22-Sep-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1907.15 on 12-Jun-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2266.20 and Rs. 2186.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 10373.53 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.92% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 12.86% and 23.22% respectively.

Pfizer has reported over two fold jump in its net profit at Rs 40.34 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 18.37 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income has increased by 7.85% to Rs 530.01 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 491.41 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.  

Pfizer has produced innovative breakthroughs in a wide range of research areas, including depression, erectile dysfunction, high cholesterol, HIV infection, hypertension, bacterial infections and systemic fungal infections.
