NIIT Technologies acquired Spain-based Proyecta Sistemas de Informacion, an IT firm with over $10 million in annual revenue, specialising in travel and financial services. The acquisition will give NIIT Tech a toehold in Latin America and Spanish markets. The company will open a line of credit under $10 million to fund the deal. The loan will also guard the company against any volatility in European currencies.
Proyecta has about 100 consultants in Madrid who specialise in CRM, business intelligence, revenue-yield management, web apps and mobility. This is NIIT’s third large deal in the past two months. Last month, the company bagged a contract to manage IT infrastructure for London’s Rail Network Eurostar. It also acquired IT services unit of Georgia-based Morris Communications in an $85-million contract, last month.crackcrack
