MylanInc’s Indian subsidiary Matrix Laboratories had received tentative approvalfrom the US health regulator for its new drug application for genericLamivudine, Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate tablets, used for treatment ofAIDS/HIV. The product will be eligible for purchase outside the US in certaindeveloping countries. The tentative approval from the US Food and DrugAdministration (USFDA) is through the President's Emergency Plan for AIDSRelief (PEPFAR).
