Steel Authority of India tumbles on reporting net loss of Rs 1528.73 crore in Q3

Steel Authority of India is currently trading at Rs. 36.45, down by 1.40 points or 3.70% from its previous closing of Rs. 37.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 37.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 37.55 and Rs. 36.20 respectively. So far 4,07,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 78.95 on 17-Apr-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 36.20 on 11-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 42.75 and Rs. 36.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 15,033.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 21.00% and 4.00% respectively.

The company has reported a net loss of Rs 1528.73 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015 as compared to net profit of Rs 579.09 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income has decreased by 21.07% to Rs 9043.71 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 11457.54 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
