Tata Steel advances as its arm plans to invest Rs 2500 crore for development of infrastructure in Odisha

Tata Steel is currently trading at Rs. 246.75, up by 28.90 points or 13.27% from its previous closing of Rs. 217.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 220.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 247.65 and Rs. 220.00 respectively. So far 2487767 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 384.20 on 06-May-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 200.00 on 29-Sep-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 247.65 and Rs. 211.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 23891.90 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 31.35% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.79% and 29.86% respectively.

Tata Steel SEZ, wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Steel is planning to invest about Rs 2,000-2,500 crore for development of infrastructure at Gopalpur in Odisha in the near term.

The company has already spent Rs 1,000 crore to set up a 55,000 TPA high carbon ferro chrome plant and development of infrastructure. The SEZ has received clearance from Odisha government for setting up an industrial park.
