Idea Cellular trades high on plan to roll out 4G service in Maharashtra, Goa, North East

Idea Cellular is currently trading at Rs. 109.05, up by 0.20 points or 0.18% from its previous closing of Rs. 108.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 111.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 112.10 and Rs. 108.65 respectively. So far 106376 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 203.90 on 17-Apr-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 97.55 on 10-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 112.00 and Rs. 97.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 39640.59 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 42.24% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.43% and 28.34% respectively.

Idea Cellular is all set to launch its 4G service in Maharashtra, Goa and North East by next month. The company has launched the service in 29 towns across 20 districts in eight telecom circles operating in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Haryana and Odisha. The company’s plan was to cover 750 towns across 10 telecom circles by June 2016. The company would offer 4G service at 3G rates to subscribers.

Idea Cellular, an AV Birla group company, provides Global System for Mobile communications (GSM)-based wireless service at the pan-India level, it is present in all 22 telecom circles.
