Coal India spurts on plan to raise coal production to 1,000 mt in 4 years

Coal India is currently trading at Rs 302.60, up by 3.10 points or 1.04% from its previous closing of Rs 299.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 302.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 304.00 and Rs. 301.60 respectively. So far 54455 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 447.25 on 05-Aug-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 286.90 on 21-Jan-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 315.95 and Rs. 293.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 191164.77 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 79.65% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.44% and 2.91% respectively.

Coal India (CIL) is planning to increase its coal production to 1,000 million tonne (mt) in the next four years through the use of latest environment-friendly technology. The estimated production planned by CIL during 2019-20 is 908.10 mt.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
