Coal India reports 52.01 million tonnes of production in February 2016

Coal India, the world’s largest coal miner by output, has reported provisional production of 51.01 million tonnes in February 2016, as against target of 52.01 million tonnes. The company’s total off-take for the month of February stood at 45.53 million tonnes as against a target of 47.13 million tonnes.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
