NMDC keen on Tanzania gold

State-run miner NMDC is hoping to acquire a mining lease for a gold deposit in Tanzania soon. There are three seams and the company has completed exploration of one, for which it expects to get a mining licence. NMDC will also have exploratory rights to other gold deposits once it completes its 50% acquisition of Australian firm Legacy Iron Ore.
