BPCL trades higher on the bourses

Bharat Petroleum Corporation is currently trading at Rs. 818.90, up by 8.30 points or 1.02% from its previous closing of Rs. 810.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 812.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 822.60 and Rs. 812.00 respectively. So far 20567 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 987.00 on 23-Jul-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 704.40 on 13-May-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 822.70 and Rs. 785.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 59122.98 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.93% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.69% and 14.38% respectively.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) is planning to set up a skill development institute at Ettumanoor in Kottayam district in the state of Kerala to meet the increasing demand for skilled workforce in the country and abroad. The company has signed an agreement with Kerala Government for setting up the institute at Ettumanoor for which the government had allotted 8 acres land.  The focus area of the new skill development institute will be hydrocarbon sector and overseas placements.

BPCL is into exploration, production and retailing of petroleum and petrol related products. The retail business unit of BPCL is into marketing of petrol, diesel and kerosene.
