Kalyani Investment spurts on acquiring 9.75% stake in KCSSPL

Kalyani Investment Company is currently trading at Rs 1699.00, up by 16.00 points or 0.95% from its previous closing of Rs. 1683.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1620.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1699.75 and Rs. 1620.00 respectively.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2799.00 on 01-Jun-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1310.00 on 08-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1700.25 and Rs. 1531.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 733.48 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.53%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 6.56% and 29.92% respectively.

Kalyani Investment Company has acquired 2,930,218 equity shares of Kalyani Carpenter Special Steels (KCSSPL), representing 9.75% of equity capital, from Carpenter Technology Mauritius (CTM), wholly owned subsidiary of Carpenter Technology Corporation (CTC), USA.

KCSSPL is engaged in manufacture of speciality and alloy steels and having its plants at Pune and Ranjangaon. It is a joint venture between Kalyani Group and CTC, in which 74% was held by Kalyani Group and balance 26% by CTC.
