Chowgule Steamships promoters’ has revoked the entire 29,00,128 equity shares representing about 7.99% of the paid-up share capital of the company as on June 30, 2011. Further there are no shares of the promoters which are under pledge with any entity.

CSL is a private sector shipping company which presently owns and operates a fleet of 6 vessels (including that of its wholly owned subsidiaries) for seaborne transportation of bulk cargoes. It started its operations with three liberty type ships, which were soon replaced with modern bulk carriers to respond to the emerging market needs.
