Physical Rubber prices extended gains on Wednesday

Physical Rubber prices extended gains on Wednesday as the market regained strength on enquiries from the tyre sector. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety jumped to 115/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 114.50/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety improved to 112.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 112/ kg.

In the futures market, contract of April delivery slid to Rs 118.08 compared to its previous closing of Rs 118.35, while May delivery closed at Rs 119.17 compared to its previous close of Rs 119.51 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
