Wipro’s engineering division Wipro Infrastructure Engineering Division is likely to set up a hydraulic cylinder manufacturing facility in Karnataka. The company aims to come up with this new facility in Nelamangala taluk near Bangalore. It will generate job opportunity for around 335 people at the facility.
The company will establish this hydraulic cylinder manufacturing unit in the Dobbaspet Industrial Area 4th Phase with an investment of around Rs 100 crore. The division, which has eight manufacturing facilities across India, Sweden and Finland, contributes to around $233 million to the revenues of Wipro. The Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board will allot about 15 acres in the 4th Phase, Dobbaspet Indistrial Area, Nelamangala in Bangalore Rural Disrtict.
The entity will need to obtain environmental clearances from various departments like CFE from the KPSCB, MOEF, GOI / DFEE Gok as applicable. The government has also asked the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company to service 1,800 KVA.
