ABB India rises on inking MoU with IIT Madras to build microgrids for rural electrification

ABB India is currently trading at Rs. 1293.00, up by 11.20 points or 0.87% from its previous closing of Rs. 1281.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1288.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1299.90 and Rs. 1283.40 respectively. So far 1779 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1444.40 on 17-Jul-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 963.05 on 21-Jan-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1325.00 and Rs. 1233.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 27526.90 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.00% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 16.72% and 8.28% respectively.

ABB India has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) to enter into technical co-operation to build microgrids as well as joint R&D in the field of rural electrification, utilization of natural non-fossil resources, battery energy storage and their connection to loads and main grid. IITM and ABB will jointly work to design, build and supply equipment for up to two such microgrids in rural areas.
