Suzlon Wind Energy Corp, the North American subsidiary of Suzlon Group, has bagged a contract for supplying 57 wind turbines for a project in the US. Suzlon Wind Energy Corp announced the sale of 57 units of 2.1 MW wind turbines for a large wind energy project located in western United States. Commissioning of the power plant is scheduled for the last quarter of the calender year 2012. According to estimates by the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), a (57x2.1)120 MW project could deliver enough green energy to power up to 36,000 homes.
