Godawari Power rises on commencing commercial operations at iron ore mine in Chhattisgarh

Godawari Power & Ispat is currently trading at Rs. 67.20, up by 1.15 points or 1.74% from its previous closing of Rs. 66.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 66.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 69.45 and Rs. 66.10 respectively. So far 10606 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 128.00 on 13-Apr-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 48.00 on 25-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 69.80 and Rs. 64.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 218.65 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 64.89% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 6.09% and 29.02% respectively.

Godawari Power and Ispat has commenced commercial production in the merged Ari Dongri iron ore mining area of 138.96 ha of land situated at Kachche, Uttar Baster in the state of Chhattisgarh.  As a result of this the mining capacity shall be enhanced from 7.05 lakh metric tonnes per annum to 14.05 lak metric tonnes per annum.

Godawari Power & Ispat is engaged in the production of sponge iron, steel billets, ferro alloys, HB wires, oxygen, fly ash bricks and is also in the power business. GPIL is a flagship company of Raipur-based Hira Group of Industries, which is an integrated steel manufacturer and is having dominant presence in the long product segment of the steel industry; mainly into mild steel wire.
