Century Plyboards (India) is planning to invest Rs 440 crore to set up a medium density fibreboards (MDF) manufacturing unit in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. The plant would be completed by the end of the current financial year. The plant will have a capacity to produce 1.98 lakh cubic metres-a-year of MDF. It will also have a plywood and block board unit with an initial capacity of 17,000 cubic metres.
Century Plyboards is largest seller of plywood and decorative veneers in the Indian organized plywood market. The manufacturing facility of company is located at Bishnupur near Joka, Kolkata.
