TV18 Broadcast reports 14% fall in Q4 consolidated net profit

TV18 Broadcast has reported results for fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2016.

The company has posted a fall of 3.66% in its net profit at Rs 58.67 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 60.90 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company has increased by 10.55% at Rs 203.15 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 183.76 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.

On consolidated basis, the company has posted a fall of 13.57% in its net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates at Rs 82.51 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 95.47 crore for the corresponding quarter in the FY15. However, total income of the company rose 3.59% at Rs 682.15 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 658.48 crore for the same quarter ended previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2016, the company has posted over 8 fold jump in its net profit at Rs 122.88 crore as compared to Rs 14.63 crore in FY15. Total income of company increased 5.39% at Rs 654.14 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 620.70 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.

On the consolidated basis, for the year ended March 31, 2016, the company has reported over 4 fold jump in its net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates at Rs 181.01 crore as compared to Rs 44.53 crore in FY15. Total income of company has increased by 10.26% at Rs 2612.75 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 2369.73 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.
